Physical Therapy Assistant - MacDill Air Force Base, Tampa, FL
U.S. Got People (USGP) is currently seeking a dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant to provide high-quality care to active duty service members and veterans at MacDill AFB in Tampa, Florida. Position Highlights
• Schedule: 5 shifts per week, 8 hours per day (Exact schedule to be determined)
• Location: MacDill Air Force Base, Tampa, FL
• Compensation: $33.91/hour + health and welfare stipend
Minimum Qualifications
• Degree: Associate Degree
• Education: Graduate of a program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE)
• Experience: Minimum of one (1) year post-graduate experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant
• Licensure/Certification: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a Physical Therapy Assistant
• OR possess current certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant/Technician, as recognized by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA)
Immunization Requirements (Must be current or willing to obtain)
• Hepatitis B (series and titer)
• Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis)
• MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella)
• Varicella (Chickenpox)
• TB Test
• Seasonal Influenza Vaccine
• COVID-19 Vaccine (if applicable)
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver a full range of physical therapy services in accordance with the scop of clinical privileges granted by the Military Treatment Facility (MTF)
• Develop written treatment plans based on comprehensive patient evaluations
• Assist patients with exercises, mobility techniques, and daily living skills
• Administer soft tissue mobilization and therapeutic traction
• Instruct patients in the use of assistive devices (e.g., crutches, prostheses, canes)
• Monitor and record patient progress in both written and electronic health records
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and adjust treatment plans
• Conduct wellness and prevention activities, patient education, and health screenings
