U.S. Got People (USGP) is currently seeking a highly skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist (Vascular) to provide full-time support to military service members, veterans, and their families at Walter Reed National Capital Region. This is an exciting opportunity to work within one of the nation's most advanced federal healthcare facilities.

Qualifications:
  • Education: Graduate of a JRCERT-accredited Interventional Radiology Technologist education program
  • Certification:
  • Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • Vascular-Interventional Radiology (VI) certification
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in Interventional Radiology
Immunization Requirements  (Must be current or able to obtain):
  • Hepatitis B (series and titer)
  • Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis)
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella)
  • Varicella (Chickenpox)
  • TB (Tuberculosis) test
  • Seasonal Influenza (flu) vaccine
  • COVID-19 vaccine (if applicable)
Key Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
  • Perform complex radiographic and vascular imaging procedures alongside an interdisciplinary surgical team
  • Assist in a wide range of specialized invasive vascular surgeries including cerebral and abdominal arteriography, angioplasty, stenting, atherectomy, venograms, and more
  • Prepare and maintain sterile surgical environments, instruments, and contrast materials
  • Use vascular surgery medications including papaverine, nitroglycerin, heparin, and tPA
  • Operate and maintain robotic fluoroscopy and imaging equipment during procedures
  • Provide advanced image-guided procedure support using CT, MRI, and angiographic software (iGuide, iSite, 1Pilot, etc.)
  • Monitor patients for safety, comfort, and response during and after procedures
  • Administer medications under physician supervision
  • Maintain emergency readiness, including use of defibrillators and crash carts
  • Provide hands-on training and procedural demonstrations to clinical staff and students
  • Collaborate with civilian engineers, vendors, and representatives to ensure optimal equipment performance
  • Perform quality assurance activities and recommend corrective actions as needed
  • Manage imaging data, assist with file retrieval, and oversee secure handling of imaging records
  • Participate in resource planning and procurement of equipment and supplies
