Schedule:

• Full-Time: 8-hour shifts
• Schedule: Monday to Friday 6:30am - 4:30pm

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Therapeutic Recreation or Recreational Therapy from an accredited institution
• Certified Recreational Therapist (CTRS) through the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification (NCTRC)
• Minimum one year of experience as a Recreational Therapist post-graduation
• Valid license to practice in any U.S. state, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, or U.S. Territory
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or ARC

Immunization Requirements  (Must be current or able to obtain):

• Hepatitis B (series and titer)
• Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis)
• MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella)
• Varicella (Chickenpox)
• TB (Tuberculosis) test
• Seasonal Influenza vaccine
• COVID-19 vaccine (if applicable)

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement recreational therapy sessions, including activities such as arts & crafts, music, drama, games, sports, special events, outdoor experiences, and volunteer engagement
• Coordinate therapeutic recreation services for Traumatic Stress and Brain Injury (TSBI) patients and their families
• Develop and adapt individualized recreational therapy plans based on assessments
• Offer coaching and instructional support as needed
• Facilitate participation in community-based recreational activities
• Participate in regular program reviews and modify treatment plans as needed in collaboration with TSBI team members
