Loyal Source is looking for an Infection Prevention Program Manager for an employment opportunity in El Paso, Texas.
About the Role:
As the Infection Prevention Program Manager, you will lead infection control efforts within a federally managed facility serving individuals in U.S. government custody. In this secure, transitional clinical environment, you will design and implement infection prevention strategies, conduct surveillance and risk assessments, and ensure compliance with public health and regulatory standards. This role requires expertise in epidemiology, strong leadership, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy environment for both patients and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and oversee the infection prevention and control program in accordance with CDC, OSHA, and other applicable guidelines
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies tailored to the clinical environment
- Monitor infection trends and conduct surveillance to identify and respond to potential outbreaks
- Develop and deliver training programs for clinical and non-clinical staff on IPC protocols
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to infection prevention
- Collaborate with clinical leadership to integrate IPC practices into daily operations
- Lead audits, inspections, and quality improvement initiatives related to infection control
- Maintain documentation and prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Public Health, Microbiology, or a related field (Master's preferred)
- Certification in Infection Control (CIC) strongly preferred
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in infection prevention, preferably in a healthcare or public health setting
- Strong knowledge of infection control standards, epidemiology, and regulatory requirements
- Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills
- Ability to work in a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment with diverse populations
The work requires some physical exertion, such as long periods of standing; walking or jogging over rough, uneven, or rocky surfaces; recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, or similar activities; or recurring lifting of moderately heavy patients or equipment.
Schedule:
This facility operates 24/7/365. This full-time position requires working days, evenings, as well as weekends and holidays. Specific hours will be determined by the facility needs. On-call availability is not required.
CITIZENSHIP REQUIREMENTS AND VERIFICATION:
The Prime Contract requires that employees and representatives performing work on the Project be United States citizens or foreign citizens who are legally authorized to work in the United States. Subcontractor shall utilize the E[1]verify system in accordance with FAR 52.222-54 to verify employment eligibility.
