And they do not require that you commit to a life in the military yourself. You simply need to be good at what you do and have a passion to serve those who serve.
It can be tricky to take advantage of this exceptional career path. The military requires a little more paperwork, asks some personal questions (for security) and is flatout, choosy. But in a good way. Not just anybody can serve our nation’s heroes… This is where Hyv steps in. It is our mission to prepare you for a federal healthcare career by clearly guiding you on what information to gather, and how to present it. That way, you’re prepared before you even apply for a job!
Our Process
Apply for an Open Position
Submit your application, and the employer will review your qualifications. Coming from the Hyv, you’ll jump to the front of the line for consideration.
Credentialing and Background Checks
If you're a fit, you'll enter the credentialing phase, which includes verifying your credentials and running background checks. This can take a couple of weeks or more.
Occupational Health Exam
Complete your occupational health exam while the credentialing process is underway. Though it takes effort, the opportunity to serve those who serve is incredibly rewarding.
Employment Packet Finalized
Once your credentials are verified, your employment packet is prepared and sent to the Fed. This step can take 4 weeks or more, as the Fed conducts additional checks. The good news? Once placed, your verified credentials fast-track you for future Federal contract healthcare roles.
